第二品、目真鄰陀品 Mucalindavaggo

一、目真鄰陀經 Mucalindasuttaṁ

如是我聞：一時，世尊初成正覺，在優樓頻螺地區尼連禪河畔目真鄰陀樹下住。爾時，世尊七日單跏趺坐，享解脫之樂。七日已，非時雲起，大雨突降，寒風來侵，持續七日。時目真鄰陀龍王從其居處來至佛所，以身繞佛，七重卷之；驤首張頸，覆護佛頂。龍王自念言：「寒氣莫侵世尊，暑氣莫侵世尊；蠅、蚊、熱風、爬蟲莫侵世尊。」如是經七日，世尊始從定起。

爾時目真鄰陀龍王知天晴無雲，乃解卷體；龍身消失，化為青年，立於佛前，合掌禮拜。

爾時世尊，如是知已，即興說此偈陀：

居靜是快樂，知法是快樂，無瞋是快樂，憫生是快樂。

無慾是快樂，於世無貪著；調伏我慢者，是為最上樂。

“Sukho viveko tuṭṭhassa, sutadhammassa passato,

Abyāpajjaṁ sukhaṁ loke, pāṇabhūtesu saṁyamo.

Sukhā virāgatā loke, kāmānaṁ samatikkamo,

Asmimānassa yo vinayo - etaṁ ve paramaṁ sukhan”-ti.

“There is happiness and detachment for the one who is satisfied, who has heard the Dhamma, and who sees, there is happiness for him who is free from ill-will in the world, who is restrained towards breathing beings. The state of dispassion in the world is happiness, the complete transcending of sense desires, (but) for he who has removed the conceit `I am' ~ - this is indeed the highest happiness.”
